Thailand Trip

Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

This is my 2nd time of visit to Thai…  this time is more special in a sense that to compare with last time. Last time went with church members, and din really c the real picture of Thai; But this time it really had opened my eyes big upon some of the real situations happened in Thai.

Previously, i could just heard from ppl about the wickedness of this ground, just like Sodom n Gomorrah, through this time visit, all the wicknedness had revealed themselves right in front of my own eyes…Very very sad… and what I could say is " PPL NEED THE LORD".

I visited few very huge and famous temple. One is actually built on top of the water. You could feel the height and steep when u climbed on it max to the 2nd level…That’s really steep n few of my collegues were scared to climb up.

Furthermore, there is another temple with a big sleeping ‘god’ inside. I’m not sure what the actual name is, but it is very very long, gold in color. Many ppl lined up, they paid , and for the purpose to look at this big idol.

Moreover, there is also another temple very crowded with ppl, just to pay a visit, or maybe to pray their prayer to ‘god’. I even saw a real kind of situation as mentioned in the bible right in front of my eyes -  It’s when the ppl contributed their gold, created the golden calf and worshiped it.

Actually, ppl need to spend to buy tickets for all these visitation in the temples…and the price is not very cheap also. For me, i’m amazed with the designs and how the ppl could sacrifice to build the temples. But, they are blinded, their eyes and hearts are totally blinded…until those from all of the corners in the world had come to worship these untrue gods. i just dun feel comfortable and my heart just couldn’t stand to pray against the attact of the evil one when i was in all those places.

All these are really detestable in the eyes of God!

Besides, we visited ‘agua show’. Local ppl called it as lady boy show. This seems to become a culture that is well accepted in Thai. A man could do some operations and change his sex to become a female. Too bad! I used to watch how nice the man will change to be a girl via pictures shown in email. Wow! this time i encountered them before me! Well, it’s not something great to praise about, but something very very TERRIBLE!!! How could they forsake their own identity??? How would their parents’ feel?

The hotel staffs helped us to book the most famous show of these lady boy at night. The show included songs, dance, cultural backgrounds and so on… It would be a nice one if there are not performed by lady boys. But somehow, these ppl strive on these ways to earn their living. When watching the show, you could actually see clearly that they are original men whom turned into  women. But there’s 1 or 2 of them who are really very beautiful after ‘transformation’. You wouldn’t able to detect them as men by outlook appearance, until u get closer with them, maybe another level of closeness…

Another highlights of this trip is I got to taste many kinds of very very expensive Thai food, unlike last visit. This round, every of our meal is above 1000baht. The most expensive one goes up to 8000baht then 4000 baht. So, we were spending more than 12000baht (RM1200) for lunch and dinner in a day…such a luxurious spent! Something undeniable is, the seafood in Thai is very fresh and nice! The way of cooking impressed us a lot! We even ate a living shrimp! Woo… cool!!! What we should not miss out is their famous TOMYAM soup, very very NICE!!!

Above of all mentioned above, we also take a ride in the small ship called ’sampan’ along the river. There, we could see the traditional houses built on the water. We fed the fished along the some parts of the river. Those fishes are very very big and fat also…When they jumped up for food all together, the water could just splashed on our face, and we had to tell others to throw the bread a little bit further from our distance, so that we will not washed by the dirth water from that river.

Apart from that, it’s about shopping. We did not have much time to spend for shopping in the ‘bazzar’…ha…though things are cheap, but we stil can bargain for even better price - only when u can speak a little bit of Thai language. Thank God i learnt a little bit of it last time, and i could still recalled it…

Above all else, I still would like to thank God for all He had brought me thru in this trip…
